Section 2 – Redeemed & Forgiven

 

You are not defined by your past. You have been redeemed, restored, and made new by the blood of Jesus. Grace didn’t just cover your sin—it erased the record.

 

1. You are redeemed through Christ’s blood

Ephesians 1:7 (NLT) — “He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.”

Summary: Jesus’ sacrifice bought your freedom. Redemption means you’re no longer bound by guilt, shame, or sin’s control.

Declaration: I am redeemed and forgiven through the blood of Jesus; my freedom was fully paid for.

 

2. You are forgiven and cleansed

1 John 1:9 (NLT) — “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.”

Summary: God’s forgiveness doesn’t leave residue—He wipes the slate clean and restores your heart to purity.

Declaration: I am cleansed and made new; forgiveness is my portion in Christ.

 

3. You are free from condemnation

Romans 8:1 (NLT) — “So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.”

Summary: Once you are in Christ, guilt loses its grip. God no longer sees you through your failures but through His Son’s righteousness.

Declaration: I am free from shame and condemnation; I stand righteous in Christ.

 

4. You are justified by faith

Romans 5:1 (NLT) — “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.”

Summary: Faith makes you right with God. You don’t earn it—you receive it, and peace follows.

Declaration: I am justified by faith and live in peace with God.

 

5. You are washed and made new

Titus 3:5 (NLT) — “He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit.”

Summary: Salvation is an act of mercy. God’s Spirit washes, renews, and rebirths you into a clean life.

Declaration: I am washed by mercy and made new through the Holy Spirit.

 

6. You are no longer a slave to sin

Romans 6:6–7 (NLT) — “Our old sinful selves were crucified with Christ so that sin might lose its power in our lives. We are no longer slaves to sin.”

Summary: The cross broke sin’s authority over you. You can walk in freedom and choose righteousness.

Declaration: I am no longer a slave to sin; Christ’s victory is my freedom.

 

7. You are restored and renewed

Psalm 103:2–5 (NLT) — “Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases. He redeems me from death and crowns me with love and tender mercies.”

Summary: God’s redemption reaches every part of your life—sin, sickness, and sorrow. His mercy renews your soul.

Declaration: I am redeemed and crowned with love and mercy; my life is restored by His goodness.

 

8. You are rescued from darkness

Colossians 1:13–14 (NLT) — “For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.”

Summary: Salvation moved you from captivity to Kingdom. You now live under the rule of light and love.

Declaration: I have been rescued from darkness and live in the light of Christ’s Kingdom.

 

9. You are made righteous

2 Corinthians 5:21 (NLT) — “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.”

Summary: Righteousness isn’t earned—it’s exchanged. Jesus took your sin so you could wear His purity.

Declaration: I am made righteous through Jesus; I stand in right relationship with God.

 

10. You are set free by truth

John 8:36 (NLT) — “So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.”

Summary: True freedom isn’t external—it’s spiritual. When Jesus frees you, bondage cannot return.

Declaration: I am truly free—nothing can re-enslave me because Christ has set me free.

 

11. You are purified by the Word

John 15:3 (NLT) — “You have already been pruned and purified by the message I have given you.”

Summary: God’s Word continues to cleanse and shape you into His likeness as you remain in Him.

Declaration: I am purified by God’s Word; His truth keeps me clean and growing.

 

12. You are forgiven completely

Micah 7:18–19 (NLT) — “Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant… You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean!”

Summary: God doesn’t just forgive—He forgets. Your sins are buried where they can never be found again.

Declaration: I am
