Section 1 – Chosen & Adopted

 

God didn’t just save you — He chose you, called you, and claimed you as His own long before the world began.

 

1. You are fearfully and wonderfully made

Psalm 139:13–14 (NLT) — “You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous — how well I know it.”

Summary: Before you were ever seen by others, you were known by God. Every detail of your being was lovingly crafted with intention, beauty, and purpose.

Declaration: I am fearfully and wonderfully made — God’s own workmanship, created with divine purpose and value.

 

2. You are chosen and set apart

Ephesians 1:4 (NLT) — “Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.”

Summary: Before creation, God intentionally chose you to belong to Him. You were not random or overlooked — you were hand-picked by love.

Declaration: I am chosen by God, set apart to reflect His holiness and love.

 

2. You are adopted into God’s family

Ephesians 1:5 (NLT) — “God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.”

Summary: Adoption was God’s joyful plan. You are part of His family, carrying His name, His favor, and His inheritance.

Declaration: I am adopted as God’s beloved child and fully embraced by my Father.

 

3. You are called by name

Isaiah 43:1 (NLT) — “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine.”

Summary: God knows you personally. He calls you by name and claims you as His own. You never have to question who you belong to.

Declaration: I am known, named, and claimed by God.

 

4. You are a child of God through faith

Galatians 3:26 (NLT) — “For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus.”

Summary: Faith connects you to the Father. You are not just forgiven — you are family.

Declaration: I am a child of God, loved not for what I do but for who He is.

 

5. You are born of God’s Spirit

John 1:12-13 (NLT) — “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn — not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.”

Summary: Your new life didn’t start with human effort; it began when God’s Spirit gave you a brand-new nature.

Declaration: I am born of God and carry His nature within me.

 

6. You are God’s masterpiece

Ephesians 2:10 (NLT) — “For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.”

Summary: You are intentionally crafted by the Creator Himself. Every part of you was designed for purpose and beauty.

Declaration: I am God’s masterpiece, created to reveal His goodness.

 

7. You are a royal heir

Romans 8:17 (NLT) — “And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory.”

Summary: As a child of God, you share in Christ’s inheritance. Heaven’s promises are your birthright.

Declaration: I am a royal heir of God’s Kingdom and share in His glory.

 

8. You are chosen to declare His goodness

1 Peter 2:9 (NLT) — “But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God.”

Summary: You were chosen not only to belong to God but to represent Him. Your life displays His goodness to the world.

Declaration: I am chosen to declare God’s goodness and shine His light wherever I go.

 

9. You are accepted in Christ

Ephesians 1:6 (NLT) — “So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.”

Summary: In Christ, you are already accepted and covered in grace. You no longer live to earn His approval — you live from it.

Declaration: I am accepted, favored, and loved through Christ.

 

10. You belong to God

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NLT) — “You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.”

Summary: Your worth is defined by the price Jesus paid. You are God’s treasured possession, purchased by His love.

Declaration: I belong to God — body, soul, and spirit — redeemed by Jesus’ blood.

 

11. You are called into fellowship with Christ

1 Corinthians 1:9 (NLT) — “God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Summary: God’s call isn’t distant; it’s relational. He invites you into daily, personal fellowship with His Son.

Declaration: I am called into close fellowship and partnership with Jesus Christ.
