Day One — What Our Spaces Reveal
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
— Matthew 6:21
Our homes often reveal what words do not. They quietly tell the story of our priorities, our pace, and our emotional capacity. This is not something to fear or feel ashamed of—it is something to notice with compassion.
When life feels overwhelming, our spaces often reflect that overwhelm. Piles form not because we don’t care, but because we are tired. Disorder lingers not because we lack discipline, but because our hearts have been carrying more than they can hold.
God does not look at our homes with condemnation. He looks with understanding. He sees the seasons that shaped them—the grief, the busyness, the caregiving, the survival mode.
Today’s invitation is not to fix anything. It is simply to observe. Ask God to help you notice what your space may be revealing about your inner world. Awareness always comes before change, and compassion must always come before action.
Reflection
What does my home reveal about the season I’m in?
Where might God be inviting me to rest rather than rush?
Prayer
Lord, help me see my home through Your eyes—without judgment, but with understanding. Amen.
