The God Who Sees

Scripture:

Genesis 16:13 (KJV)

“And she called the name of the LORD that spake unto her, Thou God seest me.”

There are moments in life when being seen feels like the greatest need of the soul. Not fixed.

Not rescued. Just seen. Fully, honestly, without explanation.

Hagar’s story reminds us that God’s first response to suffering is not instruction—it is

recognition. He does not ignore her pain or minimize her fear. He sees her. And being seen

changes everything.

Many women struggle with the idea that God notices them personally. We know He sees

humanity, the world, the big picture—but we quietly doubt that He sees us. Our tiredness. Our

confusion. Our unmet expectations.

But the God who sees is not distant. He notices where you are sitting today—emotionally,

spiritually, mentally. He sees what you’ve been carrying quietly. He sees what others overlook.

Today, allow yourself to sit with this truth: God sees me.

Not the version you wish you were—you.

Reflection:

Where do you most need to be seen right now?

Prayer:

God, help me believe that You truly see me. Not just my circumstances, but my heart. Amen.
