July Week 2: Reflection
This past week, we finished our study on Identity in Christ and began our journey into Remaining in Christ. As I reflected on the week's readings, one verse continued to stay with me. It's one of the shortest verses we read this week, but it carries a powerful truth.
"For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."
Galatians 3:26 (KJV)
This verse is so simple, but it means everything.
As I've reflected on it this week, I've realized that my identity isn't found in my past, my mistakes, my accomplishments, or even the different roles I have in life. Through faith in Christ, I am first and foremost a child of God.
That truth has challenged me in the best way.
Lately, I've found myself looking at every area of my life differently. Not because I'm trying to check boxes or become perfect, but because I want my life to reflect the relationship I have with my Heavenly Father. I want my faith to be more than something people see on Sunday. I want it to shape who I am when no one else is watching.
This verse reminds me that following Jesus isn't about pretending to have it all together. It's about growing. As God's children, we are continually learning, changing, and becoming more like Him.
That's why this verse stood out to me this week.
I'd love to hear from you.
