Day Two — Stewardship, Not Shame
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do everything for the glory of God.”
— 1 Corinthians 10:31 (CSB)
Stewardship begins where shame ends.
Many of us have tried to care for our bodies through guilt, fear, or pressure. We punish ourselves for perceived failures or push ourselves out of obligation. But shame never produces lasting fruit — it only creates exhaustion and resentment.
God does not motivate through condemnation. He invites us into stewardship through gratitude and responsibility.
Stewardship asks different questions:
What has God entrusted to me?
How can I honor Him with what I’ve been given?
What choices help me live faithfully?
Caring for the body becomes worship when it flows from love rather than self-criticism. It is not about proving worth — it is about honoring a gift.
Today, notice where shame has influenced your approach to care. Invite God to replace it with stewardship rooted in gratitude.
Reflection
Where has shame shaped my view of health or care?
How can I reframe stewardship as worship?
Prayer
God, free me from shame and teach me to steward my body with gratitude and grace. Amen.
