Day One — A Sacred Dwelling
“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you…?”
— 1 Corinthians 6:19 (CSB)
When Scripture calls the body a temple, it is making a profound statement about worth and purpose. A temple is not ordinary space. It is a dwelling place — a place set apart for God’s presence.
Many women struggle to see their bodies this way. Culture trains us to evaluate our bodies constantly — how they look, how they perform, how they compare. Pain, illness, aging, trauma, or disappointment can further distort how we see ourselves. Over time, we may begin to view the body as something to tolerate rather than honor.
But God does not dwell in things He deems unworthy.
Your body — as it is today — is a place God has chosen to reside. Not when it improves. Not when it feels stronger. Not when it meets some imagined standard. Now.
Seeing the body as a sacred dwelling shifts everything. Care becomes reverence. Attention becomes worship. Compassion replaces criticism.
Today, let God gently reshape how you view your body — not as an object to evaluate, but as a holy space where He is present.
Reflection
What messages have shaped how I view my body?
What would change if I truly believed God dwells here?
Prayer
Lord, help me see my body as You see it — as a sacred dwelling, not a problem to fix. Amen
