Day Three — Listening Is Wisdom

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God.”

— James 1:5 (CSB)

God designed the body with communication in mind. Hunger, fatigue, tension, pain, and restlessness are not flaws — they are signals meant to guide us toward wisdom.

Many women have learned to ignore these signals. We push through exhaustion. We minimize pain. We override the need for rest. Eventually, the body speaks louder — often through burnout or breakdown.

Listening to the body is not weakness.

It is discernment.

Wisdom teaches us when to rest and when to move, when to nourish and when to pause. This kind of listening requires humility — a willingness to admit limits and trust God’s design.

Today, slow down enough to notice what your body has been communicating. Ask God for wisdom to respond with care instead of resistance.

Reflection

  • What signals has my body been giving me recently?

  • How have I been responding to them?

Prayer

Lord, give me wisdom to listen and respond with care. Amen.
