Faith in the Fire: How Trials Shape Us
None of us want the fire—yet it’s often the fire that God does His deepest work.
When the heat of life’s trials presses in, it can feel overwhelming: disappointments, losses, struggles we never asked for. But scripture reminds us that the fire is not meant to destroy us—it is meant to refine us.
“But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” —Job 23:10 (KJV)
What Fire Does
-Purifies—> Just as Gold is refined by heat, our faith is purified by distractions and idols when we walk through trials.
-Strengthens—> Muscles grow under resistance, and so does faith. Every challenge faced with God builds endurance.
-Reveals—> Fire shows what we truly believe. Do we cling to Christ, or crumble under pressure?
Sisters, your fire is not wasted. The very thing that feels too heavy may be the tool God is using the shape you into someone radiant with His glory.
Like the 3 Hebrew children in Daniel 3, you are never alone in the flames. The Lord Himself walks with you there.
Take one area of struggle in your life right now. Instead of asking, “Lord, why me?” Try praying, “Lord, what are You refining in me through this?” Write it down and let that prayer become your anchor in the heat.
