Spiritual Warfare Week 3: The Pride of Life

About This Week’s Study
Pride is subtle but powerful — it creeps in when we crave approval, boast in achievements, or rely on ourselves instead of God. In Matthew 4:5–7, Satan tempted Jesus to prove Himself through pride, but Jesus chose humility and obedience.

This week we’ll expose how the “pride of life” shows up in our own lives and learn how humility protects us in spiritual warfare.

Key Scriptures:

Proverbs 16:18 – “Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.”

James 4:6–7 – “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

1 John 2:16 – “The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life…”
