Week 4 Devotional: Word-Fed and Spirit-Led

Key Verse:
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly...”
—Colossians 3:16 (ESV)

Devotional Thought:
You were never meant to live off spiritual snacks. Yet for many of us, Scripture has become a side dish—something we sprinkle into our day when we get the chance. But if we’re honest? That’s not enough to sustain us. Not in this world. Not in this battle.

The Word of God isn’t just something we read—it’s something that roots us. It’s the source of wisdom when emotions lie. It’s the standard when culture shifts. It’s the sword when the enemy attacks. And most importantly, it’s the way we come to know the heart of the One we’re walking with.

When Paul says to let the Word dwell in you richly, he’s saying it should live in you abundantly—deeply. It should shape the way you think, respond, and speak. And the only way that happens is if we create space for it.

This isn’t about performance. This is about survival. When the Word fills your mind, the enemy can’t. When the Word anchors your heart, anxiety won’t. And when the Word directs your steps, you’ll bear fruit that lasts.

Reflection Question:
What’s one intentional way you can let the Word of Christ dwell richly in you this week?
