Slow Down Your Soul
Scripture: Matthew 11:28
“Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Your schedule may be full, but your soul doesn’t have to be crowded. Busyness and hurry are not the same thing. You can be busy and still have a peaceful soul — if you don’t carry the weight of your life alone.
Jesus invites us to a rest that has nothing to do with sleep or vacations. This is soul rest — the deep rest that comes when you stop fighting battles in your own strength and start letting Him guide, carry, and steady you.
When you come to Jesus, you’re not coming to unload once; you’re coming to remain. Rest is not a place you visit — it’s a place you live when you abide in Him. Your soul becomes restful even when your circumstances are not. Why? Because His presence becomes your atmosphere.
Slow your soul today. Not your schedule. Your soul. Let Jesus quiet the noise and breathe peace into your heart.
Prayer:
Jesus, quiet my spirit. I come to You for rest only You can give.
Abide Practice:
Take 2 slow minutes today to breathe deeply and say,
“I belong to You. My soul rests in You.”
