Fruit Shows Up in Unexpected Places

Scripture: Galatians 5:22–23

“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace…”

Fruit rarely appears all at once. It grows gradually, silently, hidden beneath the surface until suddenly it becomes visible. That is how God grows you too. Most spiritual growth is slow and quiet before it is obvious.

You may not feel different every day. You may not see the growth immediately. But if you are abiding, fruit will appear — sometimes in the moments you least expect. Suddenly you realize you responded with grace instead of anger… you felt peace where anxiety used to rule… you chose patience instead of frustration… you felt joy rising in shame’s old territory.

These are not coincidences. They are signs of fruit.

Your old self could not produce these things. But Christ in you can. And He is. Do not underestimate the silent work of God in your soul. Fruit often starts small — but it is real, and it is sacred.

Prayer:

Holy Spirit, grow Your fruit in me. Help me recognize the quiet places where You are changing my heart.

Abide Practice:

Write down one moment this week where you saw even a small sign of spiritual growth.
