DAY 6 — Remaining When It Hurts

“Remain in Me, and I in you.”

— John 15:4 (CSB)

Abiding is easiest when life feels stable. But it is learned most deeply when life hurts.

Remaining during pruning means choosing connection instead of control. It looks like staying in the Word even when emotions are raw. Praying honestly instead of perfectly. Showing up in God’s presence even when you don’t have answers.

God does not require understanding—He invites remaining.

When you stay connected in painful seasons, life continues to flow. Healing happens. Strength grows. Fruit forms slowly but surely.

Remaining doesn’t erase pain, but it prevents isolation.

Prayer

Jesus, help me remain connected to You when this season hurts.

Remain Practice

Pray this simple prayer today:

“Lord, I am staying.”
