Condemnation vs. Conviction
Scripture: Romans 8:1 (KJV)
“There is therefore now no condemnation…
”
Condemnation attacks identity. Conviction addresses behavior.
Condemnation says,
“You are hopeless.
”
Conviction says,
“You are loved too much to stay here.
”
Jesus acknowledged the Samaritan woman’s past — but He did not leave her in shame. He
revealed truth in a way that restored dignity. If your inner voice sounds harsh, hopeless, or humiliating, it does not sound like Jesus.
Conviction leads toward growth.
Condemnation pushes toward hiding.
Today, listen carefully to the tone of your thoughts.
Prayer:
Jesus, teach me to recognize Your voice and reject the voice of condemnation.
