July Week 5 | Rooted in Christ: Final Reflection

As I prepared this week's reflection, something unexpected happened. Every other week of this month's Scripture Writing Plan, one verse became the one I couldn't stop thinking about throughout the week. This time, I couldn't settle on just one because each passage seemed to build on the others.

Paul reminds us to grow into spiritual maturity by speaking the truth in love (Ephesians 4:14–15). Jesus calls us to remain in His Word, where truth brings freedom (John 8:31–32). The psalmist declares that God's Word is truth from beginning to end (Psalm 119:160). Paul encourages Timothy to walk in the power, love, and sound mind that God provides instead of living in fear (2 Timothy 1:7). Finally, we are reminded that our deepest roots are found in the immeasurable love of Christ (Ephesians 3:17–19).

Rather than one passage becoming the focus of my reflection, each verse added another piece to the picture of what it means to be truly rooted in Christ. Together they show us what a life rooted in Christ looks like. We grow in maturity, remain faithful to God's Word, stand firmly in His truth, walk with courage instead of fear, and find our strength in the love of Christ that holds us steady through every season.

As we come to the end of our Rooted in Christ journey, I don't want to tell you which verse should become the one you carry with you this week—because I couldn't choose just one myself.

Which verse has spoken most deeply to your heart this week, and how has God used it to help your roots grow deeper in Him?
