Strengthen Your Back
“The one who scatters has come up against you [Nineveh]. Man the fortress and ramparts, watch the road; Strengthen your back [prepare for battle], summon all your strength. For the Lord will restore the splendor and majesty of Jacob Like the splendor of [ancient and united] Israel, Even though destroyers have destroyed them And ruined their vine branches. [Is 10:12]” — Nahum 2:1-2 AMP
What do you do when you see and can recognize an attack from the enemy? Do you strengthen your back and prepare for the battle? Or do you tuck your tail between your legs and let him run you over? The Lord promises that He will restore the splendor. Are you gonna trust the Lord? Or, are you gonna let the enemy destroy and ruin your branches?
Pride and cruelty will not endure against God’s justice. Remember that. Strengthen your back, prepare for battle, summon all your strength… the strength that comes from The Lord.
God has chosen you, placed you, and purposely planted you right where you are. He will equip you right where you are to see to it that His plans and His purposes will prevail. He appointed you for this time and this season. Remember, there is nothing too difficult for our God. Even if it looks hopeless, rest in knowing that nothing is too difficult for Him.
