Heal Well.
Learn how to heal well. Think about a Band-Aid. You put the Band-Aid on for a short period of time to stop the bleeding. But if you never take that Band-Aid off and clean the wound, it will never heal. It will fester and it will grow into a deeper infection. Those infections can be deadly.
Things that are covered do not heal well. You have to take the Band-Aid off. Uncover your wound in his presence and allow him to gently heal your injuries. The Lord is the kind of physician who can pour on the healing anointing, but he cannot pour that anointing oil on something that is covered.
No matter what you have suffered in the past — shame, abuse, bullying, harsh words — God is able to bring healing and wholeness. As you go through the healing process stop trying to cover up your wounds with Band-Aids. This response is common for all of us, but people of faith need to stop being mistaken by assuming that we should just pretend away all of our problems. Pretending away your problems, or pretending that they do not exist, is going to create an infection that is not only going to be deadly to your life, but to all of those around you.
We need to boldly acknowledge them and bring them to the Healer. Instead of putting up a spiritual front, all the while dying inside, you need to be honest with God about your heart, your past, your rejection, whatever area you need healing in Jesus can truly and abundantly supply.
One reason that people do not receive their inner healing is because they hide information hoping that it will just go away on its own. It won’t. Remember, God reveals what He wants to heal.
