Section 10 – Rooted In Faith & Truth
Faith is the foundation of your relationship with God, and truth is the soil where that faith grows. When your roots go deep into His Word, no storm can uproot you. You stand firm, nourished, and unshaken in His truth.
1. You are rooted and built up in Christ
Colossians 2:6–7 (NLT) — “And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him.”
Summary: True faith takes root in Christ. The deeper you grow in Him, the stronger your life becomes.
Declaration: My roots grow deep in Christ; my life is firmly built on His truth and strength.
2. You live by faith, not by sight
2 Corinthians 5:7 (NLT) — “For we live by believing and not by seeing.”
Summary: Faith goes beyond what your eyes can see. Trusting God means believing His promises even when circumstances say otherwise.
Declaration: I walk by faith, not by sight; my confidence is in what God has spoken.
3. You are strengthened through faith
Ephesians 3:17 (NLT) — “Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.”
Summary: Faith anchors Christ in your heart. The more you trust Him, the stronger and more stable your life becomes.
Declaration: Faith anchors my heart in Christ; His love keeps me steady and strong.
4. You are made right by faith
Romans 5:1 (NLT) — “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.”
Summary: Faith reconciles you to God. You no longer strive for righteousness—it’s already credited to you.
Declaration: I am made right with God by faith and live in peace through Jesus Christ.
5. You are kept firm by the truth
John 8:31–32 (NLT) — “Jesus said to the people who believed in him, ‘You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’”
Summary: Truth isn’t just knowledge—it’s freedom. Remaining faithful to God’s Word keeps your soul anchored in liberty.
Declaration: I hold fast to God’s truth; it sets me free and keeps me grounded in His will.
6. You are shielded by faith
Ephesians 6:16 (NLT) — “Hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.”
Summary: Faith defends your mind and heart from every lie of the enemy. It’s your spiritual protection against fear and doubt.
Declaration: Faith is my shield; it extinguishes every fiery dart of the enemy.
7. You are established in truth
2 John 1:2 (NLT) — “The truth lives in us and will be with us forever.”
Summary: Truth isn’t fleeting—it’s eternal. God’s truth resides in you through His Spirit, guiding every part of your life.
Declaration: God’s truth lives in me; it establishes my heart and directs my path.
8. You are built on the foundation of God’s Word
Matthew 7:24–25 (NLT) — “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.”
Summary: Hearing and applying God’s Word builds an unshakable life. When storms come, you will stand firm.
Declaration: I am built on the solid rock of God’s Word; no storm can shake my foundation.
9. You are refined by testing
1 Peter 1:7 (NLT) — “These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold.”
Summary: Faith is strengthened through trials. God uses pressure to purify your belief and prove it genuine.
Declaration: My faith is refined by fire and strengthened through every test.
10. You are rooted in unwavering belief
Hebrews 11:1 (NLT) — “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.”
Summary: Faith is the confidence that unseen realities are more real than what you can touch. It’s the lifeblood of hope.
Declaration: I believe in the unseen; my faith reveals God’s reality in my life.
11. You are built up through hearing God’s Word
Romans 10:17 (NLT) — “So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.”
Summary: Faith grows by exposure to truth. The more you hear God’s Word, the more unshakable your faith becomes.
Declaration: My faith grows stronger every time I hear and believe the Word of God.
12. You stand firm in faith
1 Corinthians 16:13 (NLT) — “Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.”
Summary: Faith requires vigilance. Standing firm means choosing courage and strength even when the world shakes around you.
Declaration: I stand firm in faith, unshaken and courageous in Christ.
