Week 3 Reflection: Hope for the Future

Scripture: Philippians 1:6 (KJV)

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Sometimes I get frustrated with myself because I don't always see the changes or improvements I'd like to see in my life. I find myself struggling with the same things, wondering if I'm making any real progress in my walk with God. It's easy to become discouraged when I feel like I should be further along than I am.

But Philippians 1:6 reminds me that God isn't finished working in me. I don't have to have everything figured out today, and I don't have to be the finished product. There's still so much for me to learn, and honestly, that's exciting to me. I enjoy learning new things, and I want to keep growing in my faith and understanding of God's Word.

At the same time, there's comfort in knowing that I can give myself grace along the way. Growth is a process, and I may not always recognize the progress I'm making while I'm in the middle of it. Just because I don't see the changes I want doesn't mean God has stopped working.

As we look toward the future, we can have hope knowing that God isn't expecting us to have everything figured out right now. He is still working in us, teaching us, shaping us, and helping us grow. We can be thankful for what He's already taught us while remaining excited about what we have yet to learn.

Reflection Thought: You don't have to be finished to be growing. Trust that God is still working in you, even when you can't see the progress for yourself.
