October week 1 reflection

Week 1 Reflection: Hope in the Waiting

Key Scripture: Lamentations 3:25

“The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.” — Lamentations 3:25 (KJV)

As I went through this week’s Scriptures, Lamentations 3:25 really stood out to me. It’s a verse I wanted to remember, even though I couldn’t remember the exact wording or reference at first. Looking at it again reminded me why it stood out to me in the first place.

I have hope because I know I can depend on God when I seek Him. Knowing I’m not alone gives me the strength to keep going, even when I’m waiting for things to change. I think this is the underlying message throughout all six verses this week. We can find strength, courage, and hope in God, even when we don’t have all the answers.

Waiting is where we learn to depend on and trust God because things happen in His timing, not ours. That doesn’t mean we should sit back and do nothing while we wait. We still need to seek Him, spend time in His Word, pray, and keep growing in our faith. We may not be able to control when things happen, but we can choose to keep moving forward in our relationship with Him.

Sometimes waiting can make us feel forgotten or discouraged, especially when we don’t understand why things are taking so long. But we need to remember that we haven’t been forgotten. We can trust God’s goodness, have faith in His timing, and continue pursuing Him while we wait.

Hope in the waiting means remembering that we are not alone, trusting God even when we don’t understand His timing, and continuing to grow in our faith while we wait for what comes next.
