Prayer for Salvation
Introduction:
This is the simplest prayer you will ever pray—and the most life-changing decision you will ever make. When you pray this prayer with sincerity and wholehearted faith, everything changes. The old life fades away, and a new life begins in Jesus Christ.
Through this prayer, you are stepping into forgiveness, freedom, and eternal life. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead will begin to dwell in you. You are not beyond redemption, not too broken to be restored, and not too far gone to be found.
He is faithful and just to forgive all sins—no matter what your past holds. His Word will become your roadmap, and His Spirit will empower you to walk in victory. Take your time, read this prayer slowly, and let it take root in your heart.
A new beginning truly is just one prayer away.
Romans 10:9–10 (NLT)
“If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”
Prayer:
Lord Jesus,
I come before You with an open heart, ready to surrender my life into Your hands. I confess that I have sinned and fallen short of Your glory, and I ask for Your forgiveness. Wash me clean, Lord, with the blood You shed on the cross.
I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins, and that You rose again on the third day to give me eternal life. I believe that through You, I am forgiven, redeemed, and made new.
I ask You now to come into my heart and make it Your home. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and help me to walk in Your truth from this day forward. Teach me what it means to follow You—to love You, to serve You, and to live according to Your Word.
Today, I give You my whole life. I surrender my will for Yours, my past for Your promise, and my brokenness for Your wholeness. Thank You, Jesus, for saving me. Thank You for loving me before I ever knew You.
From this moment on, I belong to You.
In the mighty name of Jesus I pray,
Amen.
