FTF MISSION STATEMENT & PROGRAMS NARRATIVE
Formed Through Fire is a discipleship movement for women who have walked through the flames of life and refuse to stay in the ashes.
We exist to walk beside the broken, the rebuilding, and the beautifully different — not simply to comfort them, but to disciple them into wholeness, strength, and Spirit-filled purpose. We teach truth. We model authenticity.
We train disciples who become teachers, leaders, encouragers, helpers, healers, and Christ-reflectors in everyday life.
We exist to help women grow — deeply, authentically, and powerfully — so they can walk in their God-given identity and lead others into the same freedom!
This ministry is for the fighters, the faithful, the misunderstood, the neurodivergent thinkers, the trauma survivors, the restored, and the refining-in-progress — because fire doesn’t destroy what God intends to refine.
Our mission is simple: to disciple, equip, and empower women’s lives through biblical truth and spiritual transformation… We are here to help women rise from the fire—renewed, refined, and rooted in Christ…

Miranda Embry
President & Founder
Miranda Embry serves as President and Founder of Formed Through Fire Ministry, providing overall organizational leadership, ministry vision, and strategic direction for the ministry. She oversees the development of the ministry ecosystem, leadership alignment, discipleship infrastructure, and long-term mission initiatives while helping guide the ministry’s operational and spiritual growth.
Vision & Spiritual Formation Director / Soul Sanctification Minister
Miranda Embry is the founder of Formed Through Fire Ministry and serves as the Ministry Vision & Spiritual Formation Director. She oversees the theological direction, discipleship framework, and long-term spiritual formation strategy of the ministry, ensuring depth, doctrinal integrity, and transformational growth.
As the Soul Sanctification Minister, Miranda focuses on inner-life spiritual warfare, identity in Christ, renewal of the mind, spiritual maturity, and the process of sanctification through biblical discipleship and Spirit-led transformation. Her teaching emphasizes helping individuals confront inner strongholds, walk in truth, and become rooted, refined, and spiritually formed in Christ.
Jamie Carey Whitehurst
Vice President
Jamie Carey Whitehurst serves as Vice President of Formed Through Fire Ministry and assists in organizational leadership, ministry oversight, and board governance support. She helps ensure alignment between ministry operations, spiritual care, organizational integrity, and the overall mission of the ministry.
Ministry Leadership & Spiritual Alignment Director
Jamie Carey Whitehurst serves as the Ministry Leadership & Spiritual Alignment Director for Formed Through Fire Ministry. She provides leadership oversight, safeguards biblical doctrine alignment, and shepherds the relational and spiritual care of the ministry, ensuring leaders and participants remain supported, unified, and grounded in truth.
Jennifer Kizer
Secretary
Jennifer Kizer serves as Secretary of Formed Through Fire Ministry and supports administrative coordination, organizational communication, scheduling oversight, and ministry recordkeeping. She helps maintain operational continuity and organizational support across ministry initiatives and leadership functions.
Faith Foundations Minister
Jennifer Kizer serves as the Faith Foundations Minister of Formed Through Fire Ministry, helping women build strong biblical foundations and grow in their identity in Christ. Through foundational discipleship, biblical encouragement, and practical spiritual support, she helps guide women from salvation into deeper spiritual growth, maturity, and rooted faith.
Sandy Patterson
Treasurer
Sandy Patterson serves as Treasurer of Formed Through Fire Ministry and supports the ministry’s financial stewardship, organizational recordkeeping, and fiscal accountability practices. She assists with maintaining financial organization and administrative processes that support the ministry’s operational stability and integrity.
Discipleship Development & Inner Healing Minister
Sandy Patterson serves as the Discipleship Development & Inner Healing Minister, guiding women beyond foundational faith into deeper spiritual maturity and Christ-centered wholeness. Through prayerful discernment and intercessory ministry, she helps women confront spiritual strongholds, renew their minds, and walk in greater spiritual authority and freedom in Christ.
